Landscape Volunteer Registration 2025

Calling All Volunteers! 

Grab your gardening gloves and come, help us out in the Lyndhurst landscape!  Most of the volunteer programs at Lyndhurst are in the landscape and are a great way to expand your gardening knowledge, give back to your community, meet new people, and share your love of horticulture.  Our Landscape Volunteers work with our Curator of Historic Landscapes to help preserve and maintain our historic gardens and grounds.

Volunteer days are weekly on Thursdays, from April 3rd to November 6th, 2025. You are welcome to join on any volunteer day.  The hours are 9:30 am-12:00 pm.  You are welcome to stay for part of the time, or the whole session.  First-time volunteers should arrive at 9:30 for a quick orientation.  Meet us in the Visitors’ Center courtyard!

Instruction provided (tools limited).

Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and comfortable shoes.

Please Register your visit to Lyndhurst before your arrival.

Please stop to check in at the Front Gate before continuing onto the property.
