Lake Elizabeth Clean Up

Last May, neighbors of Allegheny Commons Park volunteered their time to clean out Lake Elizabeth.

This year, the Department of Public Works (DPW) will partner with the Parks Conservancy to coordinate a volunteer clean up of the lake on Saturday, April 6^th. DPW has requested to do this event earlier in the season to avoid the issues we faced last year when a combination of the warm weather and build up of debris causing a foul odor and unsightly algae blooms. DPW will be on site with volunteers to help with the clean up.  Please join us! Tools, gloves, and all needed equipment will be provided. Light snacks and coffee will be provided with water throughout the event.
