Jyonson Tsu, an Osaka, Japan-based vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, has been performing and recording for over twenty years. His music is otherworldly, sung in a language he developed himself. His 2010 release, “Melody And Fragility”, originally on Gyunne Records and reissued in 2019 by Eye Vybe Records, is a masterpiece of minimal energetic folklore performed on classical guitar. 2014’s “Doppryo Nyo Petye” is a gentle and melodic collection of tunes, followed up by 2018’s sweet and poppy “Auriscalpium”. In 2020, Tsu performed a live streamed concert at Musica Japonica, the audio of which became a live album that was released on Eye Vybe Records later that year. In 2021, he released “Inumelik Dondo” with his full band. In addition to his solo endeavors, he is also a member of psychedelic legends Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso UFO and has toured with them extensively around the world, in addition to recording dozens of albums of material with them since joining in 2018. He also co-founded and helps to run Musica Japonica, a warm and friendly bar and venue located in Umeda, Osaka, that regularly hosts musicians from across the globe.
Jyonson Tsu’s 2023 “American Band” is based in Chicago and features Karissa Talanian of Eye Vybe Records on drums and Colin Mulhern on bass.
