with a celebration of sovreignty, black lives, and community. Join us on June 19th for a physically distanced picnic celebrating Juneteenth.
How to have a picnic during the Covid-19 pandemic:
- Please wear a mask when entering and exiting the park.
- One family of 5 or fewer people per blanket or seating area
- Don't share food, seating, or other objects between families.
- Bring Hand Sanitizer if you're able
- Be friendly and social from a distance
-Keep in mind that no activity that brings you into contact with others is 100% safe right now. Be smart, and respect other people's boundaries
What you should bring:
- Food and drinks for you and your family
- A blanket or chairs
- Hand Sanitizer
- Anything else you need for a picnic
- Keep in mind that shady spaces are limited, so come prepared for the sun
**This event is weather dependent. If canceling, a decision will be made mid-day, and you will be notified with the email address you register with.**
The grounds of the Frick Environmental Center are ADA accessible, however most of the trails in the park are not.
The nearest bus stop is served by the 61A & 61B at Forbes and Dallas. The walk from the bus stop to the Environmental Center is about .3 miles and includes a hill & a stretch with no sidewalk.
There is bike parking as well as car parking at the Frick Environmental Center.
