In this powerful rendition of the passion play, the messiah is not a divine figure but a cultural phenomenon. Against the backdrop of conservative governance and rigid religiosity, Jesus Christ leads his followers toward destiny as his right hand man, Judas Iscariot struggles to avoid the inevitable.

The ironic allusions to modern life, which are scattered through this depiction of political events, are magnified as viewed through a world ruled by women.

The groundbreaking score features “Heaven On Their Minds”, “I Don’t Know How To Love Him”, “Gethsemane” and “Superstar”.
