ABOUT JESSE DENATALE

Jesse DeNatale is a singer-songwriter in Northern California. He was born in San Francisco. He has released four critically acclaimed albums: Shangri-La West (2000), Soul Parade (2006), The Wilderness (2021) and 2023's The Hands Time on Blue Arrow Records. In his review of the release, legendary music executive Bill Bentley writes, “This is someone who doesn’t ever take for granted the power of a great song, but also isn’t afraid to take chances and swing for the areas of life that are almost uncaptureable. But capture them Jesse DeNatale does, over and over, which makes THE HANDS OF TIME able to never grow old. It’s almost like it’s a new album every time it’s listened to."

His music has been described as evocative and hopeful, a combination of poetry and storytelling. Over the years his love of various musical genres has inspired him to expand his ideas of songwriting as he continues to find a way to reflect back the realities of being alive. Rich with imagery, intelligence and passion, his music remains timeless. It's soulful accessibility is what has garnered him praise from other artists and has kept his devoted fans listening.

ABOUT THE SHEA THEATER

The Shea provides performance space for a variety of attractions designed to appeal to the widest range of tastes. Musical offerings include folk, pop, rock, swing, jazz, country and traditional. Theatrical productions encompass musical comedy, drama, comedy, and political satire. In addition, audiences can take advantage of magic shows, children's shows and silent film revivals.

The Shea, with the help of a wonderful corps of volunteers, has been attracting a growing audience and as a result is bringing people into Turners Falls from an ever larger geographical area. This growth has put the Shea on a firmer financial footing, providing the basis for expectations of an even more exciting future for this vital community asset.
