Jazz in the Hill: Listen Locally Downstairs

Join us in the Studio for a special installation of our Listen Locally Downstairs series. Musician and author Colter Harper presents a joint concert and discussion based on his recently released book “Jazz in the Hill: Nighlight and Narratives of a Pittsburgh Neighborhood.” 

For the musical portion of the evening, Colter will be joined by vocalist Treasure Treasure with Denzel Chismar-Oliver on bass and drummer James Johnson III playing the music of Abbey Lincoln, Horace Silver, Billy Strayhorn, and Ornette Coleman.

Doors open at 6:30 pm || Event begins at 7:00 pm

Outside alcohol/BYOB is not permitted.
