Explore Intangible, A Fiber Fairytale from the comfort of your sofa! Our very first live stream will feature a tour of all eleven colorful fiber art installations with Sweet Tooth Hotel founder, Jencey Keeton, and Sarah Guenther of Craft Yarn Council.
Also, joining the live stream is artist Niki Dionne who will talk about the inspiration for her art installation, Rigged, which features giant pom poms and a claw machine conundrum. Rigged is not only a reflection of a claw machine within a claw machine, but is also a reflection of the contradicting emotions of hope and apprehension that come with attempting to beat a claw machine. Can you win against a game that may or may not be rigged against you, or are the prizes within completely intangible?
Your Live Stream Ticket includes:
- Exclusive access to the Sweet Tooth Hotel livestream
- A behind the scenes tour with founder Jencey Keeton and Craft Yarn Council
- Artist talk with Niki Dionne inside her installation Rigged
- Chance to win a pom pom prize pack including a pom pom maker from Clover, yarn and pattern to make your very own Shark pom pom (one winner will be chosen at the end of the live stream)
- Link to click through the Intangible 3D virtual tour after the live stream
Intangible, A Fiber Fairytale is presented in collaboration with Craft Yarn Council. Every ticket helps us pay our artists and $1 from each ticket will be donated to Warm Up America! to help the charity provide more warm items to people in need.
Intangible showcases some of the top fiber artists from around the United States, including yarn-bomb extraordinaire London Kaye (Los Angeles, CA), Fiber Artist Niki Dionne (Dallas, TX), Muralist and Illustrator Alli Koch (Dallas, TX), Fiber Artist Jackie Lawrence (Denton, TX), Installation Fiber Artist and Yarn Bomber Hannah Busekrus (Austin, TX), Crochet Designer Twinkie Chan (San Francisco, CA), Textile Designer Molly Sydnor (Dallas, TX), Sally Ackerman, co-founder of Dallas Yarn Bombers (Dallas, TX) and Knit Artist Joanna Lin (Dallas, TX).
