ABOUT BALKUN BROTHERS

The sibling rock band from Hartford, CT includes brothers Steve and Nick, who blend punk rock with heavy blues riffs. The band has been featured alongside acts such as Gary Clark Jr., Johnny Winter, Anvil, Joe Bonamassa, George Lynch, Chris Robinson, James Cotton, Gogol Bordello, Devon Allman, Melvin Seals and JGB, The Mike Dillon Band, Dub Trio, Dopapod and many more. The duo has also been featured on major festival line-ups alongside The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Linkin Park, Motley Crüe, Alice Cooper, Slayer, Iggy Pop and Elvin Bishop.

Jelly is a way-outside-the-box funk fusion jamband from CT - uniquely blending funk, rock, jazz-fusion and soul to deliver a deviously groovy dose of energetic vibes, crunchy riffs, powerful vocals, juicy hooks, hefty improvisation, and a deep pocket. No matter what your flavor, Jelly has something you just might love.

ABOUT JATOBA

Jatoba is a Vermont-based trio with a distinctly unique sound consisting of quick, high-energy bluegrass tempos, thumping rockabilly bass lines, and soaring vocal harmonies, as well as punchy rhythmic improvisation, effects-driven guitar solos, beat-boxing, and even the occasional sitar interlude. Jatoba is a rebellious response to typical jam grass.

ABOUT THE SHEA THEATER

The Shea provides performance space for a variety of attractions designed to appeal to the widest range of tastes. Musical offerings include folk, pop, rock, swing, jazz, country and traditional. Theatrical productions encompass musical comedy, drama, comedy, and political satire. In addition, audiences can take advantage of magic shows, children's shows and silent film revivals.

The Shea, with the help of a wonderful corps of volunteers, has been attracting a growing audience and as a result is bringing people into Turners Falls from an ever larger geographical area. This growth has put the Shea on a firmer financial footing, providing the basis for expectations of an even more exciting future for this vital community asset.
