Hike with a Naturalist: Pollinators and Their Plants
- Reserve
- Details
As you walk through the parks this month you may notice floral bursts of color and the buzzing sounds of insects at work. With summer just around the corner, many plants and insects are busy carrying out the same customs they’ve held for millions of years. Join Naturalist Educator Stephen Bucklin and native bee expert and beekeeper Christina Neuman of Apoidea Apiary for a hike to learn about the relationships that exist between pollinators and plants while we explore the habitats that support these diverse communities!
Registration is required for this event. This hike will be led in English, Mandarin, Russian and Spanish.
While this is an all-ages event, it is geared towards teenagers and adults. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This hike is rain or shine. Weather-appropriate clothes and footwear with good tread are encouraged. Hike will meet at the Frick Environmental Center.
