Natchez Performing Arts Center at Margaret Martin • 64 Homochitto Street
Admission: $25 ($10 for Student K-12, Adult with K-12 student, College and Active Military with current ID.)
Salsa is a popular dance music that originated in New York City during the 1960s. The product of Cuban and Puerto Rican musical genres, the music migrated from New York to Colombia and the Americas, and eventually became a global phenomenon.
Salseros del Sur is Mississippi’s hottest Salsa Band, showcasing some of the south’s best musicians including saxophonist Larry Panella, pianist Sam Bruton, trumpeter Timothy Tesh, and percussionist John Wooten. The band features a fusion of Afro-Cuban, Mambo, Cha-chas, Boleros, and Jazz. The end result is simply great music, both to listen to and to enjoy while dancing the night away!
