Event Description

Exposing a screen with a light table and using the silhouettes of pressed roses as the design. Photo credit: Carlos Avendaño.

Learn the art of handmade soap using rose oil, rose petals, and rose-shaped molds. In the second part of the workshop, we'll expose a screen using real roses and petals to create a nature-inspired design for monoprinting. Leave with your own prints to pair with your handmade soap.

Organized in conjunction with John Jarboe: The Rose Garden

Summer Skill Building Series: Enhance your studio or teaching practice with a focus on sustainability. Each week, we’ll find inspiration in works on view and explore new materials to use in the classroom or your own personal art practice.
