Gumbo...a steel magnolia in the Rose City

In this solo show, Shelley creates a Gumbo: Blend one northwest coonass with the tales of her Louisiana ancestors. Toss in a brash cooking show hostess and an overly enthusiastic dance teacher, then mix well with an Acadian grandmother, a Creole mistress, and a Cajun schoolgirl. Next, fold in some stand-up comedy, a dash of TED Talk, and dust with poetry, history, and geography. Garnish with multimedia and just a hint of books, boobs, and beads.
