Free Day Classic Mansion Tours

Lyndhurst welcomes all visitors for a "Free-Day-at-Lyndhurst".

This is the registration for the one-hour Classic Mansion Tour. This tour covers the first and second floors of the house. 

Visitors must register in advance for the tour they would like to be on! No tour without prior registration. Once the tours are filled, they are filled. No walk-ons will be accepted on the tours. 

Please plan and book early as Lyndhurst anticipates higher attendance on this day and the potential to reach capacity on the property. 

Free-Day-at-Lyndhurst is only good for Sunday, May 19, 2024.

The Classic Mansion Tour is perfect for first-time guests! This one hour guided tour encompasses the first and second floors of the mansion, spanning approximately 16 rooms, providing visitors with a rare glimpse of the lavish decorative arts and furniture remaining from the three owners of Lyndhurst. Throughout the tour you will visit beautifully appointed rooms like the Mansion`s Parlor, filled with furniture designed by architect Alexander Jackson Davis.  You will also see the opulent Grand Picture Gallery, with an original collection of European paintings, impressive Tiffany stained glass windows, and so much more!

Please be advised that this tour requires long periods of standing and one large flight of stairs. 

Lyndhurst welcomes all visitors, but please be advised that advanced registration is required, you will be turned away if capacity is reached.

Grounds Passes are not necessary if you are already registered for a tour.
