Celebrate Many Cultures Day after the Parade of Nations in Downtown Waynesville!
Many Cultures Day is an outdoor event held on the first Saturday of the Folkmoot festival in the greenspace on Virginia Avenue. Featuring interactive activities for youth and the young at heart, Many Cultures Day features 30-vendors, hands-on activities hosted by community groups, ethnic food trucks, international performers, community dance lessons, a youth performance stage with local youth musicians and a Cherokee stickball game demonstration at 2pm. The cost of this outdoor festival is $5 for individuals over 5 years old in advance and $6.00 at the door.

Family rates available: $20 in advance, No more than two adults and 2+ more children. Available through the Box Office, 828-452-2997. At the door family rates are $21.
There is no reserved or paid parking for performances at the Folkmoot Friendship Center. Shuttles will be available from Hazelwood Avenue and Waynesville Middle School.
Folkmoot, a word meaning “meeting of the people,” provides communities all over Western North Carolina the opportunity to build a deeper sense of connection, mutual respect and shared purpose by experiencing other cultures.
