Fly Us to the Moon

NYC-based, Benny Benack III is a third generation Pittsburgh Jazzman. Following in the footsteps of his trumpeter/bandleader grandfather and saxophonist/clarinetist father, "BB3" is his own brand of fiery trumpet player, smooth vocalist and showman extraordinaire. Chart-topping vocalist,  Micahel Stephenson, is a soulful complement to BB3's signature style. 

Benny will serve up an evening of standards à la Sinatra, interspersed with the improvisational/free jazz styles of Thelonious Monk and Ornette Coleman -- leavened with a dollop of "pure Pittsburgh." 

This night of memorable music will be followed by a lively after-theater party throughout the ACFL&MH's beautiful historic landmark facility that -- weather permitting -- will spill out into our fabulous new Library Park.
