In 2019, Hartford-area playwright and Connecticut Yankee Jacques Lamarre and his “craycation” co-pilots Mallory and Sophie hopped on a plane to explore the delights and horrors of what Florida has to offer. America’s #1 tourism destination, Florida offers some of the world’s most beautiful beaches and over-the-top amusement parks. The Sunshine State is also home to oddball attractions, things that want to kill and/or eat you, (including the infamous “Florida Man”), and, perhaps worst of all, Ron DeSantis.
