Vieux Farka Touré

Souvent surnommé "le Hendrix du Sahara", Vieux Farka Touré, fils du légendaire musicien Ali Farka Touré, a surmonté la résistance initiale de son père pour devenir musicien. Il mélange le blues ouest-africain et américain dans sa musique et se distingue comme un virtuose de la guitare. Ses albums les plus connus sont "Fondo" et "The Secret". Vieux Farka Touré a collaboré avec des artistes comme Idan Raichel, Julia Easterlin et Khruangbin. Il est également un défenseur du Mali, fondant l'organisation caritative Amahrec Sahel et dirigeant la Fondation Ali Farka Touré. En 2022, il a publié "Les Racines" et un album en collaboration avec Khruangbin, "Ali" : visionner sur YouTube.

Often referred to as “The Hendrix of the Sahara”, Vieux Farka Touré, son of legendary musician Ali Farka Touré, overcame his father's initial resistance to become a musician. He blends West African and American blues in his music, distinguishing himself as a guitar virtuoso. Notable albums include "Fondo" and "The Secret." Vieux Farka Touré collaborated with artists like Idan Raichel, Julia Easterlin, and Khruangbin. He's also an advocate for Mali, founding the charity Amahrec Sahel and directing The Ali Farka Touré Foundation. Harry Manx

Harry Manx, l'artiste de blues "Mysticssippi", fusionne le blues et les ragas indiens classiques, créant ainsi un son captivant qui mélange les genres. Son parcours unique a commencé dans les clubs de blues de Toronto et s'est approfondi grâce à l'enseignement de Vishwa Mohan Bhatt en Inde. L'instrument emblématique de Manx est la Mohan Veena à 20 cordes. Il a fait le lien entre l'introspection de la musique indienne et la nature festive du blues. Cette fusion spirituelle et groovy lui a valu de nombreux prix et la reconnaissance de la critique, son album de 2013 "Om Suite Ohm" ayant été particulièrement bien accueilli.

Harry Manx, the "Mysticssippi" blues artist, fuses Blues and classical Indian ragas, creating a captivating, genre-blending sound. His unique journey began in Toronto's blues clubs and deepened through tutelage under Vishwa Mohan Bhatt in India. Manx's signature instrument is the 20-stringed Mohan Veena.
