The most unique program the Pittsburgh Area Theatre Organ Society has ever presented! Dennis James returns to Pittsburgh, this time with his special "Musica Curiosa" program.
Dennis is not only a superb theatre organist, but also a collector of rare antique musical instruments. Dennis will play historical instruments such as the Glass Armonica (invented by Benjamin Franklin), the Theremin (an electronic instrument from the 1930s) and the Seraphim (a table of tuned glasses).
Dennis will also entertain us on the PATOS Wurlitzer Theatre Organ solo, as well as accompanying a short silent film.
A program sure to be a fascinating crowd pleaser. Not to be missed!
Bonus 2 for 1: Dennis will accompany 2 silents at the Hollywood Theater in Dormont the next day (Sunday) at 3PM. Buy one ticket for $18 that gets you into both the Saturday event at Keystone Oaks and the Sunday films at the Hollywood. An entertainment bargain.
