Composers Now Salon

Composer Seong Ae Kim and visual artist Andre Veloux will their individual styles and their process of creative collaboration. They will share excerpts from their work in process created during their residency at The Pocantico Center. Their collaboration focuses on the sharp increase in hate crimes targeting Asian people, especially women in the United States since the start of the pandemic and the response from the Stop Asian Hate movement. Their finished work will be presented in New York as part of the opening event of the Composers Now Festival in January 2022.

The event is presented in partnership with Composers Now.

All participants must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (two weeks after second dose in a two-dose series, such as Pfizer or Moderna, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson).
