Friday Night | John Knight & Opening Act
Stand-up Comedian and Storyteller John Knight makes audiences laugh with his signature mocking cynicism and deadpan delivery. His routine is culled from the classic format of everyday distractions stretched to their exaggerated limits. From comedy clubs to corporate events, John’s off-beat humor hits home with a variety of audiences. He has opened for big-name acts like Leon Redbone, Steven Wright and Howie Mandel and appeared on Showtime, Comedy Central, A&E and more.

Well-known feature columnist for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Gene Collier is legendary for his dry and humorous views on sports, politics and media culture. He has been a popular writer in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia for over 30 years and has twice been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. He is the co-author, with Rob Zellers, of the one-man play The Chief, based on the life of Arthur J. Rooney. The Chief is the most successful production in the distinguished history of the Pittsburgh Public Theatre. Gene’s writing popularity has also led into a secondary career as a stand-up comic and corporate speaker. His stand-up comedy lampoons family life, media culture, music, sports and politics.

Mike Wysocki is a popular Pittsburgh comedian known for regularly contributing to the WDVE Morning Show and hosting his own podcast, The Mike Wysocki Show, on TribLIVE Radio. Mike is notable for his strong writing skills and sardonic look at American life, and he regularly contributes his humor and insights to the Pittsburgh City Paper. Mike made his national television debut on the Arsenio Hall Show after winning the Inaugural Jack Rollins Breakthrough Talent Competition at the Cabo Comedy Festival. He regularly performs at comedy clubs across the country and has opened for acts like Norm Macdonald, Billy Gardell, Tommy Chong, Judah Friedlander, Craig Shoemaker, Bobby Slayton, Mark Eddie and many others.
