Come to Lyndhurst and experience the glitter and the glamour of the Holiday Season during our NEW event, Lyndhurst Illuminated!  

The Holiday Season is truly  “the most wonderful time of the year” to visit Lyndhurst! Take an intimate evening tour of the mansion’s first floor and kitchens illuminated by the glow of dozens of Christmas trees, and learn how pagan customs and 19th-century immigrants shaped our modern American holiday traditions. Spirit guides lead guests through an extravagant wonderland of holiday splendor, revealing how and when many of our most cherished Christmas traditions became established.

Start a new tradition and spend part of your holiday at Lyndhurst.  Immerse yourself in festive yuletide décor and make memories to last a lifetime!

The entire experience lasts about 45 minutes. 

All visitors must have a pre-purchased ticket for this festive tour. A limited number of tickets are available, and time slots do sell out.

Your experience begins promptly at the designated time, please arrive 15-20 minutes early to ensure you have time to check-in, use the facilities, and visit the Museum Shop!

Tickets are non-refundable.

Please present your name or have your tickets available on your smartphone to show to the Welcome Center staff when checking in for your tour. 

Appropriate for children aged 10 and older, no children under age 2 will be admitted.
