We are honored to announce that this year’s festival is dedicated to the memory of Penka Rizova, one of the most influential figures in the Bulgarian traditional folklore of dance, music, song and the cultural institutions in Bulgaria. Recently she passed away at the age of 92 and left behind an incredible legacy not only in Bulgaria, but in the United States, where she helped raise the awareness of the Bulgarian Folklore through her contributions to some of the oldest Bulgarian cultural establishments, including our organization: Bulgarian Macedonian National Educational and Cultural Center.
Join us for masterful performances of authentic Bulgarian folklore on October 20 at West Mifflin Middle School. Vecherinka parties with Vladimir Mollov band and handcrafted Bulgarian food menu on both days! Food menu includes roasted lamb, hand-stuffed karnacheta (Bulgarian spiral sausage), pumpkin and cheese banitsa (Bulgarian pastries), salads and appetizers.
Free parking! Cash bar available and credit cards accepted.
