BRANDON T JACKSON seen on Tropic Thunder

Brandon T Jackson is an American actor, screenwriter, stand-up comedian, and rapper, best known for appearing in films such as two ‘Percy Jackson’ installments and ‘Tropic Thunder.’ He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, to a religious family. His parents work as pastors. His father, Bishop Wayne Timothy Jackson, is also a lesser-known author. Following his high-school graduation, Brandon moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in stand-up comedy and joined a club known as the ‘Laugh Factory.’ In 1999, he made his acting debut with a small role in the series titled ‘Norm’ and then appeared in smaller roles in series such as ‘Californication,’ ‘The Zeta Project,’ and ‘Raising Hope.’ He then made his film debut in 2001, with ‘Nikita Blues,’ and won critical acclaim for his performance in the film ‘Roll Bounce.’ He also won a ‘Black Reel Award’ for his performance in ‘Roll Bounce.’ He is also known for portraying ‘Grover Underwood’ in two ‘Percy Jackson’ films. Lately, he was seen playing a main role in the series ‘Mr. Robinson’ and a supporting role in the film ‘Get a Job.’
