The Cave presents
Brandon Miller
Sunday, April 19, 2020
4pm $10
Growing up as a young guitar slinger in Kansas City, Brandon's unique style and scorching riffs has evolved him into a torch carrying, blues-rock disciple
From a young age, music has always been the driving force in Brandon’s life. Even before receiving his first guitar at the age of seven, he was listening to his dad’s record collection and the local radio stations to discover the sounds he was wanting to hear. The sounds of Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Rush and Eric Clapton would lead him to countless days and nights of practice to recreate those sounds. By the time
Brandon hit the young age of 13, he was starting to be a regular amongst the clubs and venues in Kansas City. Building a strong following in KC, Brandon released his first, full-length original album in 2011 and began to tour the Midwest. Brandon started to develop his own unique sound and hits every note with a fiery passion that is unlike any other. Fast forward a few years to see Brandon hitting his stride now with
two full-length original albums, including a live-album release, recipient of the Outstanding Guitarist from Banzai Music Magazine and sharing the stage with the likes of Jonny Lang, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Buddy Guy, Foghat and Night Ranger, you can see exactly why people don’t miss this young, blues-rock guitar trailblazer when he comes to town.
"Brandon Miller took the stage with his eponymous band and tore through some hard hitting versions of Blues-Rock classics with the dexterity and familiarity of a musician twice his age."
- Friends of the Blues
"If the Blues is going to survive, more young people need to start getting into it, and the Brandon Miller Band could be a point of entry for a whole new crop of future Blues fans.”
Bill Bartlett - KC Blues Society
"Brandon Miller is a great, young guitar player, an up and coming act that does a great job of the rocking blues, Stevie Ray Vaughan style."
Skaught Patterson - KC Blues & Jazz Examiner
"He launched into a version of Robert Johnson’s “Crossroads” that would make Clapton, Bruce and Baker proud!"
Charlie Monck - KC Blues Society
"This kid is seriously the next Stevie Ray Vaughan."
