Buyer Beware! The SPJA does NOT condone and is not responsible for any AX badges purchased from any private/third-party transactions. ShowClix is our only official sales platform.

Special Military Offer - UPDATE -  The Military Badge Offer is now over, all unused codes are no longer valid and expired May 29, 2023 at 11:59pm PT.

Badge Exchange & Upgrades - UPDATE - The deadline to submit a badge exchange or upgrade request has passed (March 31, 2023), and we are no longer able to accommodate such requests. All sales are final, please review all items in your order before checking out to ensure you are purchasing the items you intend on buying.  

Badge Mailing - UPDATE -

The deadline to qualify for shipping was June 12, 2023 (for Canadian orders the deadline is June 6th).  All orders placed after this date must be picked up at the Registration booth.

Badges Purchased for Another Person 

If you are buying a badge for a friend, family member, or relative, then you will need to transfer (“assign”) the badge to that person by entering their individual email address during checkout when placing your order.  ALL badges must be assigned to an individual badge holder.

If you do not know or are unsure of the person's email address, you can enter your own and proceed to process the transfer request in your ShowClix account after you have completed your purchase.  For instructions on how to access your ShowClix account, verify your badge order, and/or transfer a badge to someone, please go to our AX Help Center for help. 

NOTE: You must transfer any duplicate badges purchased (during checkout or in your ShowClix account) since our policy only allows a single badge per day per attendee. Any duplicates are subject to cancellation. The only exception would be an adult badge (4-Day, 1-Day) purchased for a minor (any child age 17 or under). If this is the case, you can email registration@anime-expo.org so we can add a note to your order details.  

Child Badges

Please note that Child Badge MUST be purchased and can only be carted with another General Admission Badge.

If you have already completed your purchase of General Admission badge(s) but you need extra child badge(s), please contact registration@anime-expo.org for assistance.

Child badges are tied to the Buyer upon purchase and cannot be transferred to another ShowClix account.  Therefore, it is recommended that the parent or guardian who will be accompanying the child(ren) while participating at Anime Expo (per the Age Restriction Policy posted below) purchase these badges.

Registration Assistance & Badge Pick-Up 

Booth hours of operation are as follows: 

• 6/30/2023           12 pm – 8 pm 


• 7/1 – 7/3/2023    8 am – 8 pm


• 7/4/2023             8 am – 1 pm 

Note:  The Registration Booth and show schedule will end early on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.  Please check the hours of operation on the AX website and plan accordingly.  No refunds will be issued if you fail to pick up your badge before the booth closes, especially for 1-Day Tuesday badges.

Cancellation Policy
By registering for an Anime Expo credential, you agree not to sell, trade, or share your promotional code, email confirmation, or badge. If the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA) determines in its sole discretion that you have violated any SPJA policies, SPJA can cancel your credential(s) and keep any money paid by you. Confirmations and/or credentials that have been sold or provided by anyone other than SPJA will not be honored.

You must register an individual name for each credential and each name must match a valid government-issued photo ID. If SPJA determines you have purchased more than one credential in your name for any day, SPJA has the right to cancel your duplicate credential(s) and issue you a refund less the processing fee.

EVENT CANCELLATION

SPJA reserves the right to cancel or postpone Anime Expo, or any part of Anime Expo, on limited or no notice in SPJA’s sole discretion.  In the event of a cancellation or postponement of Anime Expo, SPJA shall not be responsible or liable for any costs, damages, fees, expenses, or other compensation associated with Anime Expo.

Refund Policy
All sales are final for all credential purchases and, therefore, non-refundable. Please review all items in your order before checking out to ensure you are purchasing the items you intend on buying.  

Any and all payments made to SPJA are not refundable for any reason, including, but not limited to, failure or inability to use Credentials due to illness, epidemics, pandemics, public health crisis, government restrictions, travel-related problems, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, cyber attacks, loss of employment and/or duplicate purchases. SPJA will not issue refunds, deferrals or credits for Credentials that have been revoked.

All credentials are non-transferable to any other SPJA event.

SPJA reserves the right to change the Refund and Transfer Policy at any time without notification.

Upgrade, Downgrade, and Exchange Policy
You can upgrade your (1-Day to 4-Day or Child to 4-Day) credential, based on availability, by sending an email to registration@anime-expo.org on or before March 31, 2023.  

Downgrades are not permitted. 

You can exchange your 1-Day credential for another 1-Day credential, based on availability, by sending an email to registration@anime-expo.org on or before March 31, 2023.

Credentials and Entry Policy
For security reasons, and to allow entry into Anime Expo, all attendees must always wear, possess, and present their badge and any required wristband credential while onsite or at any other venue/location utilized for Anime Expo as follows:

• Badges must be affixed on the AX-issued lanyard and worn around the Attendee’s neck or displayed in an openly visible location.


• Wristbands must be securely affixed to the Attendee’s wrist and remain on the Attendee’s wrist throughout Anime Expo.


• Tickets for additional events produced by Anime Expo, such as screenings, cafes, concerts and autograph sessions, must be presented during check-in via physical ticket or on a digital device.

Each Attendee must retain possession of their own credential for the duration of Anime Expo and may not loan or give the credential to anyone else. If Credentials are not worn or presented correctly by an Attendee, SPJA reserves the right to refuse admission, service, and cancel the Attendee’s credential at SPJA’s sole discretion without liability. All credentials are the property of SPJA and must be relinquished to SPJA upon request.

Age Restriction Policy
Purchase a credential appropriate for the child's age on or before the first day of attendance at Anime Expo 2023.  

• Children ages 0-5 are free and not required to register for a credential. An optional RFID child wristband will be available to pick up at the Registration Booth on Gilbert Lindsey Plaza. In cases of emergency, the wristbands will allow an SPJA/Anime Expo representative to contact parents/guardians as needed.  


• For children ages 6-13, you must purchase a Child badge (4-Day credential).


• For children ages 14+, you must purchase a 4-Day or 1-Day general attendee credential. 

Attendees age 13 years old and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, age 18 or older, for the duration of their time at the event. Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult if required to pick up their badge in Will Call at the Registration Booth. We recommend attendees ages 14-17 have a parent or guardian close by for the duration of the event. Please refer to the full Youth Protection Policy (Section 6) on the AX website.

Any programming designated 18+ will require attendees to have an 18+ wristband to present for admission at the door.  An 18+ wristband can be obtained at any Info Services booth by presenting a valid government-issued photo ID that shows date of birth.  Please see our Program Room Policy for more information.

On-Site Credential Pick-Up Policy
Attendees who purchased credentials after the Credential Mailing Deadline (June 12, 2023) and all International attendees must pick up their credentials at the Registration Booth beginning June 30, 2023 in Gilbert Lindsay Plaza at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The Buyer may pick up all credentials in their order or each individual Registrant can pick up their own credential. Upon arrival, you must present your registration confirmation email and a valid government-issued photo ID. This should match the Buyer or the Registrant’s name/information to pick up your credential.  Your registration order confirmation is also available in your ShowClix account (My Tickets) under the My Events tab.

All attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult, who must present a valid government-issued photo ID, to pick up their credential.

Badge Transfer & Activation Policy
Every credential must be registered to a unique attendee. If credentials are purchased for others, it must be transferred to that intended recipient.

Child credentials are not transferrable in ShowClix MyTickets accounts. Any child credential transfers required after purchase must be requested via email to registration@anime-expo.org.

Every credential must be activated to participate at Anime Expo 2023.

Lost Credential Policy
Lost credentials are subject to a reprint fee. To purchase a credential reprint, go to the Registration Booth for assistance.
