What to Expect

We are excited to welcome Association of Christian Home Educators of Ventura County to Poverty Encounter!  Journey into the lives of children living in poverty around the globe in a multi-sensory, interactive environment. Hear their stories, explore their world, and share their dreams.  Learn to respond biblically, take action to make a difference and offer help and hope to those who are suffering.

Planning Your Visit

Please arrive 10 minutes before your reservation time and check in at the Poverty Encounter entrance of the building.  Each tour is 90 minutes with a 30-minute service activity during which guests will be able to pack food for families in need.  There is a considerable amount of walking and standing throughout the experience so please dress comfortably.
