Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Noomi Ra grew up living in New York, London, Pakistan, Dubai & everywhere in between. Being well traveled; Noomi Ra was influenced by many cultures and be exposed to all sorts of international music, especially electronic dance music; which found a permanent place in his heart from a young age. Good music and proper taste has always flowed through Noomi’s soul so it was only natural that, in 2008, he finally began experimenting with mixing music and DJing. Ecstatic that he finally had the tools and ability to make, mix, and play good music, he realized there are no boundaries or limits. He was urged by friends and fans to look at DJing as more then just a hobby so he decided to pursue it professionally. He played his first gig on September 27, 2010. Since then its been a roller coaster ride; playing over 50 gigs in a very short amount of time - from bringing in the 2011 New Year at 12am in front of 2000 raging people, to playing at Pacha NYC with big names, and festivals such as Dance.Here.Now on Governors Island. Noomi Ra is one of New York City’s fastest growing DJs - his name has already been on lineups with the likes of Knife Party, Afrojack, Skrillex, Fatboy Slim, Ken Loi, James Zabiela, Headhunterz, DJ Eco, Breakfast, Hellfire Machina, and Donald Glaude to name a few. The music he plays is fresh, often unpredictable and always on point. Electro Trouse is what he likes to call it, but his range is very wide: House, Progressive, Electro, Minimal, Trance and Techno. Noomi Ra has international plans and is on the cusp of looking past New York City towards the West Coast and Europe.
