The Early Mays
A new thread in the rich tapestry of American roots music, The Early Mays have burst on to the scene with a #2 debut on the National Folk-DJ charts. Rhythmic, evocative, dark and wistful, their Appalachian-inspired songs are built on deep country sensibilities, masterful ballad singing and a sweet old-time sound. Fiddle, banjo and guitar are the backdrop for vocal harmonies that "bring traditional and original material to spectacular life."
Arlo Aldo
A low, lonesome moan swells like a wave over the audience and washes down upon the otherwise silent room. Despite the stage, be it under the mirrored ceiling of a smokey dive or bathed in the colored spotlights of sophisticated venues the result is always the same; the harmonies of Arlo Aldo pull you in like an undertow and hold you in the maelstrom of his sincere folk. Intimate and sweeping, Arlo Aldo is a powerful act that commands your attention just as it endears you to it's gentle lyrics and vivid imagery.
Molly Alphabet
Molly Alphabet is a country singer-songwriter born, raised, and residing in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Molly got her start when Chet Vincent (of rock band The Big Bend) wrote a batch of country tunes for a 5-song recording project in 2012. They had so much fun putting together that EP that they began booking live shows and haven’t slowed down since.
Molly sings country music with a classic feel in arrangements from a simple duo to a 5-piece band complete with drums, keys, upright bass, pedal steel, and the occasional fiddle– blending the sounds of traditional country twang, kazoo solos, and a Pittsburgh accent into something that will make you want to do the two-step. Each set is a mix of originals and your favorite tunes from decades past.
