8:30 AM: Pick up at Rancho Cordova Hotel.
9:00 AM: Pick up at Pt. West Hotel.
9:30 AM: Pick up at Downtown Sacramento Hotel and depart to Sutter's Fort State Historic Park.

10:00 AM: Arrive at Sutter's Fort State Historic Park. Begun in 1839 by John Sutter, the fort was a 19th century agricultural and trade colony in California. The fort is famous for its association with the Donner Party, the California Gold Rush and the formation of Sacramento. This self-guided tour contains unique museum exhibits including: carpenter and blacksmith shops, bakery, dining room and living quarters.

12:30 PM: Depart for Old Sacramento.

12:45 PM: Arrive at Old Sacramento. Old Sacramento is a national landmark in California. It has the "largest concentration" of historic buildings in the state. Over 100 buildings from the Gold Rush-era have been restored. Most are open to the public as restaurants, museums and shops. The California State Railroad Museum, California Military Museum and the California Museum for History, Women and the Arts (admissions not included) are all located in Old Sacramento. Enjoy lunch on your own; we recommend lunch (not included) at Joes Crab Shack and enjoy riverfront views. Enjoy a day of shopping in historic Old Sacramento.

5:30 PM: Board the Empress Hornblower for a one-hour “Happy Hour” River Cruise. The Empress Hornblower is a turn-of-the-century style boat tracing back to a time when paddleboats were the preferred way to travel. This narrated cruise will describe the legendary past of California's capital city, from the first days of the Gold Rush to the booming metropolis that is here today. This cruise combines great history, nautical surroundings and ever-changing views.

6:30 PM: Depart from Old Sacramento for pickup locations.

7:00 PM: Drop off at Downtown Sacramento Hotel.
7:15 PM: Drop off at Pt. West Hotel.
7:30 PM: Drop off at Rancho Cordova Hotel.
