Hill Fire: Pits, Spits & Grills Dinner

This year, TerraVita celebrates sustainability with a new dinner to rival all others – HILL FIRE: Pits, Spits & Grills. The Town of Carrboro is rolling out the welcome mat so we can bring in some of the best chefs, pitmasters, grillers, brewers, distillers, farmers and bakers in the Southeast for a fantastic dinner under the evening moonlight. We will gather at the Town Commons to experience some of the best pig you will ever put in your mouth with sustainable seafood and vegetarian options too! On Friday, October 9, TerraVita will host this collaborative feast with amazing participants, including:



  • Chef Jason Stanhope (2015 James Beard "Best Chef - Southeast") of FIG in Charleston

  • Chef Ashley Christensen (2014 James Beard "Best Chef - Southeast") of AC Restaurants in Raleigh

  • Sam Jones of Skylight Inn from Ayden, NC

  • Joe Sparatta of Heritage and Southland in Richmond

  • Clay Trainum of Autumn Olive Farms in VA

  • Wyatt Dickson of The Pig Whistle and (soon to be) Picnic in Durham

  • Ben Adams of Picnic in Durham

  • Greg Baker of The Refinery and Fodder & Shine in Tampa, FL
