Nigel Wearne

We fell hard for singer/songwriter/luthier Nigel Wearne at the Folk Alliance 2023. Wearn is from Gunditjmara country in the deep south of Australia, but he spends a lot of time on the road as a troubadour. He’s toured New Zealand, the US, UK, and Canada and performed at a long list of festivals in each. He crafts atmospheric music of the night, blending blues, jazz and Americana-noir with evocative melodies, fantastic guitar chops, and a smoky baritone. A deep thinker and truth-seeker with a penchant for all things peculiar, he sings of human frailty and grace. Fans of Tom Waits will love his music.
