Michelle Cann & Tommy Mesa

Lane audiences will remember pianist Michelle Cann, whose brilliant interpretations of Florence Price thrilled us in fall of 2021. Since then, her career has taken off, with honors including the Sphinx Medal of Excellence in 2022 and the Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Award. Joining her is cellist Tommy Mesa, one of the most charismatic performers of his generation. The recipient of the Sphinx Organization’s 2023 Medal of Excellence, Mesa has appeared as soloist at the Supreme Court on four occasions as well as with the L.A. Phil at the Hollywood Bowl, the Cleveland Orchestra, and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
