Revenge meets Gossip Girl in Urban Impact Shakes’ production of The Merchant of Venice. Shakespeare’s tale of love and bitterness, choice and fate, justice and mercy, takes on new meaning as the actors relate the plot and characters to their own faith and lives in the midst of this classic production. Come eager to laugh, quick to empathize, ready to ask questions of faith and to snap a selfie or two!

About the Company: Created by director Eric Anderson in 2010, Urban Impact Shakes is a semi-professional summer company which pairs a few professional actors with Urban Impact's advanced theatre students, ages 15 to 18.

About Urban Impact: Urban Impact is  a faith-based non-profit organization founded by Rev. Dr. Ed Glover. The organization, chartered in 1995, was created to foster Christian community development on the North Side by changing lives one person, one family, one block at a time.  The organization focuses on helping at-risk kids, youth, and their families in a holistic manner; by meeting needs academically, spiritually, physically, and socially.  Financial support comes from charitable foundations, corporations, churches and individuals.
