Playing at the Laredo Little Theatre

(Laredo, Texas) (June 20, 2014) - Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. is playing at the Laredo Little Theatre and underwritten by Ahh Smile Family Dentistry starting on Friday, July 25th for 2 weekends through Sunday, August 3^rd. Show times for Friday and Saturday performances is 8:00 P.M. with Sunday matinee performances beginning at 3:00 P.M. The 60-minute musical, designed for young performers, is based on the 2008 Broadway production and the 1989 animated feature film.

The Laredo Little Theatre cast contains 33 talented local performers led by Director Amanda Treviño, Assistant Director Carolina Herrera, Choreographer Brandon Garza, and Musical Director Dana Crabtree; Staring Rebecca Arias as Princess Ariel, Ayesha McCaully as Sebastian, and Joshua Goldberg as the evil sea witch Ursula.

This classic Disney title contains all of the songs from the Academy Award® winning animated feature film as well as three new songs from the Broadway show.THE LITTLE MERMAID JR.takes place in a magical kingdom beneath the sea, where a beautiful young mermaid named Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, the king of the sea, escape the clutches of an evil sea witch and convince a prince that she’s the girl with the perfect voice.

A performance of Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID JR.invites the public to the Laredo Little Theatre located at 4802 Thomas Avenue on July 25^th, 26^th, 27^th and August 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd.
