Event Description
Blues at it's best! Don't miss Jimmy Henderson "In Concert" at Renaissance Theatre's Alpha Stage on April 28. With influences like Robert Johnson, Sam “Lighting” Hopkins, Ed “Son” House, Albert Collins, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kenny Burrell and John Coltrane; it's boogie woogie at it's finest!
After playing locally in Huntsville, Jimmy moved to Houston, Texas in 1995. There he played local bars performing blues covers, original songs and working on his sound. In 1999 he moved back to Huntsville and continued to write and explore his own playing and songwriting style. In 2003 he played the Big Spring Jam and in 2008 began playing in local community theatres. His songs can now be heard on Huntsville’s local NPR blues programs. With a new album coming out this spring, he has taken his playing and songwriting skills to a new level. So shuffle on down to Renaissance Theatre!
