“For the Sake of the Children” starring Lil G (Lead singer from the R&B Group “Silk”), Shed G (appeared on Madea’s Family Reunion, Daddy's Little Girls and Meet the Browns TV Show), Isaac Keys (Bachelor from “The Ultimate Merger”), Timotha Lanae, Edith Jasper and William Pierce as Grandpa Johnson. This is gospel stage play, which depicts Denise Johnson (Timotha Lanae) as an addicted mother who is more concerned with getting the next high than she is about her three children. Everyone except for Denise can clearly see that her addiction has gotten out of control, but convincing her of this reality is just as difficult as getting her to recognize the need for change. “For the Sake of the Children” is a riveting gospel stage play that tackles social issues such as chemical dependency, sexual abuse, child neglect and the importance of family structure and support with gut bursting humor and uplifting gospel songs.
