Whiskey Class

The Tender Academy classes continue! This week we turn our attention back to American whiskey, and our own experts Nathan and John will give an introduction to the major styles of American whiskey, how they're made, and what contributes to their different flavors.

We'll talk about bourbon, rye, straight corn whiskey, and some new styles as well. You'll learn about the mash, distilling, aging, the requirements for a whiskey to be a bourbon, and how distilleries differ in their approaches. We'll throw in a little history and trivia, and of course field your questions for an engaging and enlightening afternoon.

Class would be no fun without drinking, so we'll welcome you with a whiskey punch right away. And during the lessons, you'll enjoy multiple tastings that emphasize the different flavors and processes of making American whiskey. We'll also have some light snacks for you from Tender's kitchen.
