2014 Dance for Equality

No need for the bridge or the tunnel. We'll bring the city nightlife to YOU.

The Dance for Equality is North Jersey Pride's annual fundraising event. Last year's inaugural dance was a huge success, selling out in record time. This year, we don't want to turn anyone away, so we've moved to a larger venue—the beautiful Club at Orange Lawn.

Enjoy free wine and bubbly, as well as a reduced-price full bar, passed hors d'oeuvres and dessert. Dance all night with award-winning DJ Steve Sidewalk (of NYC's Ritz, XL Nightclub and BPM-New York fame), who will be spinning until 1AM. Bid at our incredible silent auction on items including tickets to David Letterman's last season, Wanda Sykes one-woman-show; Broadway house-seat tickets (e.g., Kinky Boots, Book of Mormon, Rock of Ages), spa experiences, vacations, jewelry, designer fashion, artwork, unique experiences—plus raffles, 50/50 and more! 

Best of all, you will be personally helping North Jersey Pride produce the LGBTQA Pride Week and Festival and supporting our "Pride with a Purpose" mission of contributing proceeds beyond expenses to New Jersey-based LGBTQ youth organizations. Your ticket purchase (which is 80% tax deductible, thanks to our 501(c)3 status) is how we are able to host events all year long promoting diversity and equality, celebrating community and family, and educating around the causes that matter to all of us.

We are offering TWO ADMISSION LEVELS this year:

GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET ($75): Your 80% tax-deductible ticket price includes admission at 9PM, wine and bubbly cocktails and delectable hors d'oeuvre from our Unity Sponsors Barefoot Wine and the Club at Orange Lawn. Plus, a full top-shelf bar will be available at reduced prices. You'll also get 5 complementary tickets for our amazing raffle AND a $25 voucher for limo transportation, courtest of North Jersey Pride Sponsor Uber.

VIP TICKET ($100): Your ticket includes everything above, PLUS a special wristband that entitles you to:

VIP Parking: Arrive when you like and your reserved space will be waiting.
Happy Hour: Enter at 8PM for a fully open bar and hors d'oeuvres.
VIP Bar: Beginning at 9PM, avoid lines with access to special VIP spirit service.
Better Odds: Receive five additional complementary raffle tickets, for a total of 10.
Sneak Peak: Check out our exclusive silent auction items at your leisure.
Personal Satisfaction: Knowing you've given that much more to a worthy cause! 

Out-of-towners: Make a night of it! Les Saisons Inn in Maplewood has graciously offered a 10% discount on rooms for Equality Dance attendees. Park at the B&B, use your $25 Uber gift card to get to and from the dance, and have a great night's sleep (and breakfast!) before the big Festival the next day at noon. 

We do expect the "Big Gay (and Ally) Dance" to sell out again, so get your tickets fast. Once we sell out, you'll have to wait until next year to shake that thang!
