The Guitar Sanctuary is proud to present a special charity event, "Crooning for a Cause", with Andy Meadows and his 9 Piece Band Live at The Sanctuary Music & Events Center on Friday May 20th at 8pm (doors open at 7pm).
Kayley Nell will open the show and we'll have casino games, a swing dance contest, and a silent auction. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Love Life Foundation.
This is a formal attire event with $15 reserved seats in advance, $20 at the door.
With Modern Day Crooner, his second full CD on Oscar Records, Andy Meadows continues perfecting his unique blend of jazz, country, swing, and blues. The record features four songs penned by Meadows and his take on six classics that include everything from Cole Porter to George Strait hits. Preston Jones of the Star Telegram had this to say about Andy’s music, “Meadows also relies on a bit of seeming cognitive dissonance - when's the last time you heard a pedal steel solo during The Way You Look Tonight? - but the fusion works, not least because, viewed from a certain angle, it's as if Fort Worth, the home of cowboys and culture, has been cannily reduced to musical form."
