Steel City Codefest 5.0

This is registration is for Steel City Codefest participants only. To register for NextFest on April 7, click here. 

To register as a team, select the number of members on your team and proceed to check out. You will be asked to provide the information for each team member during registration. 

The Steel City Codefest is a city-wide app building event that brings together coders, designers, and innovation enthusiasts to create apps for local government, citizens, and community organizations. Codefest gives everyone the opportunity to grow and learn — no matter your background or skill level.

Check out this year's challenges.

Participants form teams, tackle challenges, and create apps for social change. Codefest 5.0 will allow teams to use their creativity to develop and build innovative solutions. Codefest isn’t just a chance for you to build apps; it’s also an opportunity for you to build relationships across sectors in Pittsburgh while developing solutions for real-world challenges. 

During the kick-off event, teams will select one of the challenges presented by local nonprofit organization or government agency.

The event will take place over a week period. The event kicks-off on March 31 with the presentation of event challenges.  

Participants work remotely during the week but are encouraged to attend the two work night sessions on Monday, April 3 and Wednesday, April 5. The event culminates on April 7, 2017, at the Ace Hotel in East Liberty with an event that is free and open to the public. 

Registration is $10. This includes a t-shirt and food at al the events. Only register for the number of slots you plan to use.
