YES!
We are bringing THE PARTIES back this year!!!

Confirmed for May 9 as keynote speakers are Colia Clark and Livio Rangel. Between the two a wondrous spectrum of black liberation and bolivarian revolution.
About Eco-Socialist Horizons: Ecosocialism is a vision of a transformed society in harmony with nature, and the development of practices that can attain it. It is directed toward alternatives to all socially and ecologically destructive systems, such as patriarchy, racism, homophobia and the fossil-fuel based economy. It is based on a perspective that regards other species and natural ecosystems as valuable in themselves and as partners in a common destiny.
About the 52 Marble Hill Summer House Parties: In the summer of 2011 my brothers and I opened our backyard and started hosting an informal concert series. Little did we know that these small gatherings would soon become monster parties of mythical proportions!
By the end of 2012 an average of 200 guests would make the trip uptown, coming in from An Beal Bocht, Manhattan College, the Shul of New York, Columbia University, the Mariachi Academy and the United Nations. By the end of that summer the Marble Hill Parties had become a weekend destination... your most delicious Mexican escape and most relaxed urban dream, combined into a legendary summer party with all the good music... but none of the drama.
We had great musicians grace our stage: from the classical Indian trio Karavika, to the reggae band Rocky and the Pressers and from Bernardo Palombo to Mariachi Real de Mexico, Jarana Beat and Los Cojolites.
Unfortunately, in 2013 we had to put the parties on hold. Our touring schedule got real busy, real fast, and we were invited to fly down to the Totonaca pyramids in Mexico to perform at Cumbre Tajin, opening for Julieta Venegas and Los Tigres del Norte. Then we won the top prize at WQXR and WNYC’s “Battle of the Boroughs” and had our debut at the Apollo Theater. 2014 was even busier, with tours in the USA, India, Russia and Mexico and our first show at Lincoln Center.
So... there you have it! Whether you are a tried-and-true Marble Hill veteran or a total novice ready to get your first taste of uptown musical freedom, grab your dancing shoes and JOIN US NEXT SATURDAY MAY 9!!
As usual, if you feel so inclined, bring your own bottle of liquor, beer or whatever. We’ll have cold beers, sangrias and empanadas to keep you fed and hydrated throughout the night.
