48 Hour Film Festival

Local filmmakers will have another shot at moviemaking in 2024 as The Old Theater presents the second annual 48 Hour Film Festival, a competition for local filmmakers to produce a short film in only a weekend. Anyone can enter and there is no entrance fee. The festival begins with the Friday night Kickoff on January 19 when teams will draw genres out of a hat and receive the required elements for their film. Teams must write, shoot and edit their film in 48 hours. All films will be shown on the big screen at The Old Theater on January 26 and 27. General admission for these screenings is $10 with a discount price of $8 for Old Theater members, military, and students with ID.  Children under six are free. Local judges will select the winning films and awards will be presented on January 28 at 3:00 pm.There is no charge for the awards presentations. Good luck teams!
