The Drowsy Chaperone

The Drowsy Chaperone is a delightful parody of the American 1920's Musical Comedy! The story opens with a musical theatre fan playing a "record" of his favorite musical - the fictional 1928 hit, The Drowsy Chaperone. The show actually comes to life as this fan comments on the music, story, and actors in the show as well as musical theatre in general in a way that brings about wonderful memories for many, raucous laughter for all and perhaps even a sentimental tear. A brilliantly written piece, The Drowsy Chaperone opened on Broadway in 2006 and won the Tony for Best Book and Best Score.
