Scout Day November 2019

November 2, 2019

BSA Electricity

AM Session (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

PM Session (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

BSA Railroading

AM Session (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

PM Session (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

Participants may register for one or both badges.  Each merit badge program session is approximately 3 hours.  If you are registering for both badges, please select AM Railroading/PM Electricity OR AM Electricity/PM Railroading.  Both the AM and PM sessions cover the same materials.

Online pre-registration is required for all merit badge programs. Registration will close on Monday, October 28 at 5:00 PM. We are unable to accept registrations over the phone or after the deadline. Scout leaders and guardians of registered participants do not have to pre-register and may purchase tickets day-of.

If you are attending both AM and PM sessions, it is highly recommended that you bring a bagged lunch: There is no food available at the museum. There are limited dining options available within a 15 minute drive.

Electricity

Complete requirement 2 and 8 in the Electricity Merit Badge Workbook to the best of your ability and review the Electricity Merit Badge Requirements prior to the event to understand the requirements and expectations. If participants do not attempt the requirements, Scouts must follow up with the instructors before a signed blue card will be issued.

Requirements 8(b) 1 and 2 will be fulfilled by visiting the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum. Scouts must bring either equipment to photograph or video (camera, phone, etc.) or materials to draw [8(b) 1-2]. If they do not, Scouts must follow up with the instructors before a signed blue card will be issued.
