Dream City: Impressions of New York

A selection of shorts from the Library’s film archive explore representations of the city on the silver screen.

Drawing on films made from the 1950s through the '80s, Elspeth Carroll, Repertory Programming Associate for Film Forum, curates a screening that depicts the cityscape through children’s drawings, kaleidoscopic city symphonies, and other means of the filmmakers’ imaginations.

FIRST COME, FIRST SEATED
For free events, we generally overbook to ensure a full house. Priority will be given to those who have registered in advance, but registration does not guarantee admission. All registered seats are released shortly before start time, and seats may become available at that time. A standby line will form one hour before the program.
