Event Description
On the solstice of 2012 the sun will set furthest North in the sky illuminating the two largest Louis Comfort Tiffany designed stained glass windows in Calvary United Methodist Church in a way that all the stained glass changes color and seems to move from moment to moment.
Preservation Pittsburgh has long supported the preservation of sacred places that form a critical part of Pittsburgh’s heritage, including Calvary U.M. Church. Not only can guests experience this marvelous structure built by the Scaifes and Hornes, they can support Preservation Pittsburgh’s advocacy for restoration and/or adaptive re-use of the heritage religious structures that enrich our neighborhoods.
Proceeds benefit Preservation Pittsburgh and Poets Corner Arts.
