A Special Jury Prize Winner at the Tribeca Film Festival, Stand Clear of the Closing Doors is a cinematic odyssey that explores the world as seen through the eyes of a young boy with autism and his family who struggles to make that world a better place for him. After a particularly difficult day, 13-year old Ricky escapes into the NYC subway system where he loses track of space and time in the massive, underground labyrinth. Frantically, his immigrant family searches for him, coming together and falling apart in the process.

"Wonderfully witty and understated...A small miracle of a film." New York Times
