Event Description
No Horizon Anymore: A Year Long Journey at the South Pole

Country: USA
Director: Keith Reimink
You think Pittsburgh winters are bad. Keith Reimink – who normally lives and works as a sous chef in town – travelled to the South Pole station during the austral winter, and lived to tell. Here, we follow members of the winter-over crew, as routines are interrupted and limits are tested. After the sun sets the crew succumbs to six months of inky darkness. The only cure for claustrophobia is the unattainable outside world. With rare footage of the austral winter at 90 S, this is an eye-opening experience taking place on the same planet we inhabit, but rarely think about. (2013; 78 min)

The director is scheduled to attend.
