Movie Night with Charlie Chaplin & Tom Roberts

Tom Roberts plays Tender's piano to accompany three silent Charlie Chaplin films projected onscreen: 1. The Rink, in which Charlie plays a waiter in an upscale restaurant who wreaks havoc on his customers; 2. Kid Auto Races, where Charlie spectator at a baby-cart race at Venice Beach in Los Angeles; and 3. The Pawnshop, in which Charlie plays an assistant in a pawnshop engaging in a slapstick battles with his fellow pawnshop assistant, dealing with eccentric customers, and flirting with the pawnbroker's daughter. Tom will also speak to the history and tradition of silent films in Chaplin's early years.

Two tiers of tickets are available (note: tax and gratuity are extra):

1) Main Event, $25. Includes screenings with live accompaniment, welcome cocktail upon arrival, and house popcorn.

2) Social Hour, $40. Includes the above plus a private pre-show social hour from 6:30-7:30 with passed gourmet appetizers by Chef Brian Little.
